La Dragon

Hi everyone, me again!! This time I'm back with another restaurant, this time it is a Chinese restaurant in Kilmarnock called La Dragon.  I've only been to La Dragon one time over the years that it has been in Kilmarnock, and loads of people in the town rave about it and all love it.  The establishment is lovely inside, you enter the doors and can either go downstairs to the main restaurant or upstairs to the Champagne bar.  The only time I've eaten at La Dragon was just earlier this year, in January for my friend's birthday. The service was great and the staff were very attentive to the 8 of us that were dining together. As far as menus go, the food menu is quite extensive and there is so much to chose from, from chicken dishes, beef dishes, seafood dishes, as well as a large range of sides dishes. The drinks menu is also great, with a large range wines, beers, spirts and cocktails to chose from, as well as soft drinks.  My cocktail of choice this particular n...

The Blair

Hi everyone!!! I'm back again to let you all know about another restaurant in Ayrshire that I like.  This one is called The Blair and is located in a small village named Auchentiber on the outskirts of Kilwinning. I do recommend either driving to the restaurant or getting a taxi as it is quite far out of the way, on a country road and I'm not sure of the bus routes or stops to get there.  The setting is so nice during the summer, with the greenery and flowers and the sun. It is also nice to sit outside in the warmer weather for drinks or a quick lunch. The environment inside the restaurant is so cosy and warm and welcoming creating the perfect dining area, which is why it is high on my list of favourite restaurants to come to. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough to give their customers a good experience.  The menu at The Blair is quite an extensive one, there is something for everyone and to suit all tastes. I'm not part...

Cafe da Vinci

Hi everyone! My first post on this blog will be on Café da Vinci is a small, family-run Italian restaurant located in on the Strand in Kilmarnock. The establishment has been in the same location for over 20 years making it very popular with the local and surrounding communities. The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm – 10.30pm and a Sunday from 1pm – 9pm and is a fabulous wee place for a relaxing lunch or dinner, with plenty of delicious menu items and a variety of soft drinks, alcoholic beverages to chose from. The restaurant is one of my go-to spots, without having to travel too far from my home. My family and friends and I have been coming to the restaurant for many years, for birthdays, for any celebrations and even just a last-minute dinner out during the week or a late Saturday afternoon. The area is very welcoming and warm, it gives cosy vibes. I do feel that the food is very good value for money, it is full of flavour and is always up to a fantastic st...
