Cafe da Vinci
Hi everyone!
My first post on this blog will be on Café da Vinci is a
small, family-run Italian restaurant located in on the Strand in Kilmarnock. The
establishment has been in the same location for over 20 years making it very
popular with the local and surrounding communities.
The restaurant is open Tuesday to Saturday from 12pm – 10.30pm
and a Sunday from 1pm – 9pm and is a fabulous wee place for a relaxing lunch or
dinner, with plenty of delicious menu items and a variety of soft drinks, alcoholic
beverages to chose from.
The restaurant is one of my go-to spots, without having to
travel too far from my home. My family and friends and I have been coming to
the restaurant for many years, for birthdays, for any celebrations and even
just a last-minute dinner out during the week or a late Saturday afternoon. The
area is very welcoming and warm, it gives cosy vibes. I do feel that the food
is very good value for money, it is full of flavour and is always up to a
fantastic standard. The service is always fabulous as well! The staff are always
so lovely and friendly, they are always up for a chat with the customers which I
love, and nothing is ever too much for them.
I have a few favourite dishes that I tend to rotate when I visit Café da Vinci such as the penne arrabbiata with chicken, a picante pizza however my all-time favourite dish from the restaurant is the penne picante.
To sum up this first post, Café da Vinci is definitely worth visiting if you find yourself in the east of Ayrshire or even passing through heading somewhere else.Below I have included a few pictures of some dishes from the restaurant and what the entrance to the establishment looks like. I have also included the link to their website.
