The Blair

 

Hi everyone!!!

I'm back again to let you all know about another restaurant in Ayrshire that I like. 

This one is called The Blair and is located in a small village named Auchentiber on the outskirts of Kilwinning. I do recommend either driving to the restaurant or getting a taxi as it is quite far out of the way, on a country road and I'm not sure of the bus routes or stops to get there. 

The setting is so nice during the summer, with the greenery and flowers and the sun. It is also nice to sit outside in the warmer weather for drinks or a quick lunch.

The environment inside the restaurant is so cosy and warm and welcoming creating the perfect dining area, which is why it is high on my list of favourite restaurants to come to. The staff are also very welcoming and friendly and could not do enough to give their customers a good experience. 

The menu at The Blair is quite an extensive one, there is something for everyone and to suit all tastes. I'm not particularly fussy when it comes to food so I did take me quite a while to decide what I wanted to order the first time I came to the restaurant, and I did have to ask the waitress to recommend me something as I could not make my mind up! 

I chose to have a Caesar salad to start with which was amazing, probably one of the best I’ve had, and I’ve had a lot of Caesar salads 😊. My boyfriend had the Crispy Duck Stir-fry to start, it was really good too. For main courses, I went with the Pan-fried Duck breast as recommended by one of the fantastic staff members and Luke went for the Cajun Chicken Pasta. Both dishes were so tasty, and I would definitely recommend the Duck to anyone thinking of visiting the restaurant. Our bill came to a little over £55 for the 2 of us which I think is quite reasonable for the high quality of the food and the great service.
